PLUME DE KISSABA
The King of Saxony Bird of Paradise is considered to be a mythical phoenix, for a long time thought to remain permanently aloft in air by their enchanting plumes. Antonio Pigafetta, the famous Venetian scholar who was one of the 18 men to complete the first circumnavigation of the world, in 1522 wrote, "The people told us that those birds came from the terrestrial paradise, and they call them 'Bolon Diuata,' that is to say, 'Birds of God.'" The bird is famous for the pair of long head-streamers composed of silver-blue enamelled, 40 rhombic lobes.
Ildela stands inspired by the mystery and aura surrounding the bird. Signs of fascination with the King of Saxony Bird of Paradise can be seen across the brand's identity and product offerings.
FRENCH BAGUETTE ROLLS
In the humble beginnings of Ildu's perfumery venture, necessity drove him to utilize pre-owned glass bottles as vessels for his aromatic masterpieces. Just like many commonplace items, he ingeniously enveloped these bottles in paper sourced from pamphlets and newspapers. This rudimentary wrapping process, over the course of time, evolved into a standardized technique at Ildela.
This method, reminiscent of packaging French loaf bread, became a signature at Ildela. Today, the transformation is striking - no longer relying on makeshift materials, special films now enshroud the exquisite ruby-cut glass vials. Securing these precious creations also involves the use of the Ildela Noir Band, a sophisticated touch that conceals intricate counterfeiting measures, ensuring the authenticity and exclusivity of each perfumed creation.
ILDELA PLUME TWINE
Plume Twine is an interpretation of Plume de Kissaba’s distant view, from where it appears like a trail of alternating rhombuses in black and white. Ildela Plume Twine is an instantly recognizable icon to this day. Made out of luxurious fibers, the Plume Twine is coated with beeswax to confirm evenness and adherence to Baudruche film. ILDELA PLUME STRIPES
In line with our interpretation of Plume de Kissaba, our packaging boxes are imprinted with Plume Stripes. Diagonally alternating black and white stripes differentiate our identity visually. To deny counterfeiting of our products, certain subtle proportions and patterns, although visible to the naked eye, but concealed yet, exist in the Plume Stripe packaging boxes.
THE ART OF PERFUMING
Ildela Eau de Partums comprise of perfume oil concentration of 35-40%, and Attar Partum, where no dilution occurs at all. This not only makes our fragrances precious, but also enrich them with longevity and sparkling sillage. It is usually advised to apply the perfume on each pulse-point to let it develop on skin. Ildela, being an Anamoly, and as is expected, approaches the Art of Perfumery in a unique way.
Human body does not require ingestion of perfume-grade alcohol, perfume oil or fragrance oil. Be it chemical or natural, your body through your skin absorbs these perfumery ingredients as unwanted prescription. Some fragrance oils do have positive health effects, but without the body needing them you are feeding it unnecessary junk. We recommend you to apply our potions on your clothes rather than directly on skin. Doing so is healthier, and it also makes your perfumes last longer than usual. Ildela perfumes last three times as long on clothes as they would on skin, even after a wash.
APPLYING ILDELA PERFUME
Instead of bodily pulse-points, you should apply our perfumes on the pulse-points of your clothes. Apply a small amount of perfume under the sleeve cuff, behind the front placket, under the sleeve button placket, right under the collar tip or under the neckline. You can choose to spritz it all over your clothes, but it advisable to do so from a distance of 8-10 inches. In case of our intense vials (parfum), you can roll them back and forth once at each of the pulse-points, we have mentioned above.
